Some days it just doesn't go right - an uphill fight. Yesterday I decided to make these trays as I had the bases and rope already made, but everything seemed against me. I was down in the dumps, it was too cold to glue, it was too gloomy to see, my eyes were blurry, my hands were shaky, everything looked crooked. So when I finished I almost threw them away. My husband Alan said no, wait until tomorrow. He was right - they don't look so bad today, so I filled one with some of my precious and loved mini bits from
Nikki Rowe: unicorn horns, mandrake, eggs, toadstools, a bone.
So here it is - my crooked little witchy gathering basket.
It was sure a good thing he suggested you wait a day. I think they look great! I love the one filled with all the witchy things.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Catherine, the baskets look really good, especially the one filled with yucky witchy stuff.
ReplyDeleteThey look really nice to me :) I know how it is, sometimes nothing goes right and you get so frustated and the stuff that you've been making looks like crap - but your hub gave a good advice :)

Any real witch should be provided with such
ReplyDeletetray! I love the fact that trays are made of natural materials.
Your little basket looks lovely filled with all the Witchy Bits..x
ReplyDeleteThey look great we all have bad days and its always wise to wait but why is it the men that come up with that idea lol....

You husband was right, look really pretty now.
ReplyDeleteUn beso.
This is a really good thing for all of us to remember -- wait a day! They look fab, Glenda :)
ReplyDeleteLooking good Glenda. I am learning that it's certainly 'all in the detail' with miniatures. What you begin with can change dramatically once finished.
ReplyDeleteIt's gloomy and windy here in my part of the UK too.
I absolutely love these! They are really good!
