Witch baskets

Janice - this one's for you :-)

A day spent making baskets was fun - especially when I'm ignoring the fact that I have to pack up the house for our move in three weeks!! It'll be a good way to spring clean my minis workroom I suppose. Chaos here I come!! The cats are already wild-eyed and crazy. Wait till they have to spend eight hours travelling in the car!

Sorry the photo's not good - bad light today.

  1. Love those little baskets and thank you so much for the link to the tudor building blog and their giveaway! I've added them to my blog and am now a follower. Whew! So much to keep up with! I fall behind all the time as life intervenes in my 'best laid plans'. Good luck with your move--I don't envy you. When we built 10 years ago and brought over the last of the loads, DH said, "Now Jody, if you divorce me, I'm not leaving the house." I said, "Well, same here so we'll just build a wall down the middle like Oneal Hall and her husband and put in separate AC's and water heaters!" LOL! But neither of us show signs of going anywhere. I always remind him, "If you leave me, I'm going with you."

  4. Yay, so you're moving northwards - it's going to be GREAT!!! Except for the packing and moving itself which of course is going to be hell - no pain no gain ;)

  5. Jody LOL!!! Hopefully we won't be moving again for quite some time after this . . .

Janice - I'm never ever obviously busy except when I'm procrastinating!! :-)
    Will confirm by e-mail.

  7. They are really nice, some black ones need to move to Finland :) But no hurry, you tackle your move first. So, you got the house, that's so nice - although I don't envy you a bit with the packing, we moved in 8 years 3 times in Finland and built a house and 4 times in Switzerland - were living in 2 countries at the same time :)

  8. Ira - I've moved a lot in my life, but never two countries at once!
This happens every time I get one of my mini houses out of the box - something happens to stop the progress - when I get to the new house, it's going to be a first priority to build them! I rely on you to remind me ;-)

  9. Cute baskets...

I used to move a lot, in fact this house is the longest time I´ve spend in the same place. 7 years now...that´s long time for a gypsy soul. But my husband and I agree that this is good place to get old, though we sometimes would love some urban life.

Wish you luck with the packing and unpacking... Minis takes a lot of time to pack safely...

  11. Thanks, ladies - making these baskets was interesting - they were an order for a witchy setting. I don't generally use primary or strong colours, and these baskets sit on my desk cheekily demanding attention, being bright.

Thinking about the post on Annie's blog about homes and colour has been interesting - check it out -
