Heavenly creatures

These lovely beasts are handcrafted by Teresa at Northern Lites Miniatures on eBay.

I have had the barn owl for a while, and just bought the little dragon and bat recently for the vampire and dragon themes. They are made with real feathers, fur and leather, and the bat is posable. Link

  3. The owl is great fun, love the real feathers.

I was at a Medieval Festival in France and took a photo of that breed of owl, he had been trained to hunt and be on the leads. Photo is at the link below.

  4. Ooh!!! They are wonderful. Love the dragon. When I was young and still at home we had an owl that used to live in our garage for years(it was two story, my parents still live there). My dad made her an owlhouse which she lived in for years. The owlhouse is still there at the top of the eave, but the owl finally stopped coming back. Thank you for bringing back old memories. :~)

  7. I forgot to say that the underside of the dragon's wings are silver - flashy!!

Thanks for the link, Karin - I love barn owls, and my nickname to some is Glenda Owl. (or Glenda Hell on a bad day!! :)))

My enchanter is going to be a man who knows and cares for animals - a cross between Rdadgast the Brown in Tolkien, and St Francis of Assissi.

  8. I love magical themes and you always made your characters sound so interesting, all mythically larger than life kind of interesting. That dragon is very well crafted and I like real feathers for the owl.
